Jupiter in Palm Beach County on the Florida Treasure CoastJupiter

The oldest of the cities on the Treasure Coast may also be the most well known. Jupiter, Florida is destined for additional recognition because of Abacoa. construction of the huge project which incorporates the town center concept is now underway.

The 2,055-acre project located near 1-95 includes a Florida Atlantic University campus and four-year Honors College, a baseball stadium, 6,000 homes and 15,000 residents by the year 2015.

Jupiter has long been a vacation or a second home destination for people. When vast acres of former MacArthur Foundation land were developed in the late 1980s, the golf and yacht club communities of Admirals Cove, Jonathan's Landing and Frenchman's Creek (in nearby Palm Beach Gardens) emerged, attracting residents in search of an upscale lifestyle. When Jupiter was discovered to be an ideal place to raise children, more young families began to move into the city. The new Abacoa Development, where brisk home sales are underway, will add many more.
